Our frames are carefully selected and stand out in material quality as wel as design. They’re made of an aluminium profile which guarantees a lightweight yet sturdy base. We offer them in 17 different styles including metallics and woods and even some bright colors. We use acrylic glass which is better, brighter and lighter than ordinary glass and less likely to damage during transportation.

The width of the standard frame is 5 mm (~ 0.2 inch) and the depth is 22 mm (~ 0.9 inch). All frames are also available in a luxury version which come with thicker glass and an additional insert to elevate the artwork, adding an extra dimension to it’s display. The width of a luxury frame is 8 mm (~ 0.3 inch) and the depth is 35 mm (~ 1.4 inch).

All frames are custom made to fit the art print by our professional framer and come with a ready-to-hang suspension system.

Note: Framing an artwork takes a bit of time and requires a special shipping method which may affect process and shipping time (but it is definitely worth your while).

The dance of life can dance without resistance if the inner opposites are not in conflict with each other. There is an intuitive recognition that all movements appear spontaneously from the "essential". Within the painting Stonehenge forms the symbol of "the gate" to the "essential" of all creations. There is perfect balance in the movement of dance. Differences in form, emotion, or mental convictions therefore all have a right to exist within the dance of life. Every newly created movement can be completed smoothly through a new movement. It does not criticize the previous or next movement. We can call this surrender to life. In the painting this has been symbolized by allowing the east and west (opposites) to bend respectfully for each other.

Work method
This time-consuming technique originally comes from the Renaissance period. Leonardo da Vinci and Botticelli made use of this painting method. Recent artists adapted it somewhat, in accordance with today's consumables, but the principle has remained the same. The shape is determined by the play of light and dark, and with this fact I start on a gray pre-worked panel, the form with Omber natural and Titanium white to put down. In the mid-tone the gray background still continues to do its job. After this underpainting has cured sufficiently, the colors are transparent (glaze) to semi-transparent. The light is increased in layers This is often repeated several times, creating a mystical depth in the painting and starting to live strongly with the right lighting. After all, the light is reflected back in certain gradations through the layer of color via the underlayer, which gives an extra dimension to the work.

about the artist

Meet Paul Jaarsma

Paul Jaarsma

After traveling over 35.000 km through the whole continent of Africa Jaarsma realized that respect forms the backbone for people who live in harmony with nature. Nature shows that in all its beauty. It is his wish to give shape to this awareness and transfer it to others.

'The images which flow from his brushes are timeless in essence, but in terms of image, they may be history soon.'
